For dogs without major health concerns, this is Embark’s go-to for overall wellness. The first thing that struck me about this product was how all our dogs immediately thought it was a treat and wanted to eat it with no hesitation.
- Our Take: We gave this to our staff dog Addie. While we didn’t expect dramatic changes, we noticed subtle improvements in her energy levels. She really pepped up during her afternoon walks and her coat started to look shinier.
- Pros: Easy to add to her routine, and the bacon flavor was a hit.
- Considerations: This is more about maintenance than solving a specific problem, so the results might feel gradual rather than instant.
One of our teammates has a Jack Russel/Pittie mix named Jack that struggles with seasonal allergies, so we were especially curious about this one.
- Our Take: After about three weeks, we saw noticeable improvements in his itching. His coat looked healthier, and his scratching episodes went from constant to occasional. Jack also loved the flavor and was always looking forward to getting his “treat”.
- Pros: May be effective for mild-to-moderate allergies, with quality ingredients like quercetin and omega-3s.
- Considerations: If your dog has severe allergies, this might work best as part of a larger care plan that you discuss with your vet.
We shared this with a teammate whose 8-year-old poodle, named Moxie, is now a senior dog. She still loves to hunt, jump, and play with the best of ‘em, but as she gets older we want to keep her joints in the best shape they can be.
- Our Take: Moxie seems to be moving more comfortably and is more eager for running and jumping games. It’s a promising option for dogs who are active.
